President of AmaZulu FC Sandile Zungu has provided an explanation for the club's selection of George Maluleka from Mamelodi Sundowns.

As previously reported by the Siya team, Mido moved to Usuthu last week and has since joined his teammates. He brings with him a wealth of experience from his time playing for the Tshwane Giants and Kaizer Chiefs, where he nearly won every football championship available.

Despite the fact that Maluleka, 33, has faced some difficulties with playing time during his tenure with the triple champions, Zungu said he is happy to have Maluleka on board.

"We are quite happy. He has a history of trophy success. We believed that something needed to be done in the middle to improve our team's balance "On Saturday, Zungu spoke to the media.

"He is the ideal match for us; he is thrilled to be joining us, and we are thrilled to have him."

The new additions of Hannes Absolom as the team's new goalie coach and assistant coach Kamaal Sait were also discussed by the club president.

Zungu informed the journalists, "We have Brandon Truter, Kamal Sait is his assistant coach, they were together at Swallows, and Sait also played for AmaZulu in the past, so he is familiar with this club.

"My approach is really straightforward: I want a technical staff that collaborates in (unity). Since I dislike mixing and matching, we do that if a head coach approaches AmaZulu and says, "I don't want to work with those guys; I want to work with people I trust, who will pull the same direction as me."

"Therefore, there were no harsh feelings when we let go of Moneeb Josephs and Vasili Manousakis.

"To prevent coaches pulling in opposite directions and engaging in backchat and backstabbing, we said no and to bring your assistants. That gibberish is not what I desire "Added he.
