Guys: Please Stay Away from These Drinks When You Visit Your Father-in-Law

Marriage is between families. So, it is very imperative to consider your actions in front of the head of the opposite family (and in this case that would be your father-in-law).

Some father-in-law can be controversial. They try to test you with infinitesimal acts you exhibit. My friend told me his father-in-law accepted him after they had a hand-shake. His fiancé’s father said his hard palm shows he is hard working, thus, can take care of his daughter.

This is something that would never cross the minds of anyone. But it happened. That is why I have come to you again to hint you on what drink to take when you happen to be in a ceremony or visit your father-in-law.

The trick is to give a good impression. You wouldn’t want your father-in-law to get the impression that you’re an ardent drunkard. So kindly stay away from all alcoholic beverages and stick to the soft ones.

However, champagne shows your class and status. It is fine if there is a little alcohol in the champagne you take. But you should be measured so that you don’t get dizzy.

Don’t be like this man:

A man went to meet his father-in-law to be and was chewing gum. The father-in-law shouted at him in a harsh voice.

Father-in-law: Young man, you're coming to seek my daughter's hand in marriage and you're chewing gum. That's a sign of disrespect!

Man: Sir, I only chew gum when I drink or smoke.

Father-in-law: You mean you drink and smoke, and you're here to seek my daughter's hand in marriage?

Nobody wants that attitude, especially father-in-law.
