An intense fixture went down in the premier league yesterday as Everton welcomed Tottenham to the Goodison Park Stadium on Friday evening. Both teams had the intention of securing maximum points that will strengthen their hope of an EPL top-four finish.
Tottenham lightened up the match in the 27th minute as Harry Kane found the back of Everton's net with a fantastic volley strike to put his side a goal ahead.
Everton fought their way back into the game as Gylifi Sigurdsson's brilliant execution from the penalty spot made the scoreline 1-1 in the 30th minute. The scoreline remained 1-1 at halftime as both sides aimed for the winner in the second half.
Everton took the lead for the first time in the match as Gylifi Sigurdsson scored his second goal to put the Toffees 2-1 ahead in the 62nd minute. Harry Kane also got his second goal of the match as he scored a brilliant volley in the 67th minute to make the scoreline 2-2 at the end of the match.
Both sides eventually picked up a point each from their encounter.
