Rosemond Brown has been granted bail after the High Court had granted her application for bail pending appeal. The Court ordered Rosemond Brown to report to the case investigator every two weeks.
She is to deposit her passport with the High Court Registry. According to the Court presided over by Mrs. Justice Ruby Aryeetey, Rosemond Brown needed the permission of the Court any time she is to travel outside the country.
The popular Ghanaian social media influential figure was jailed 90 days on Friday, April 16th, 2021 for publishing obscene material and domestic violence after posting a nude picture of herself and her seven-year-old son on his birthday in 2020.
The conviction of Rosemond Brown became a top of national interest. The Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Honorable Kennedy Agyapong yesterday said the actress was supposed to be jailed for a year instead of the earlier 90 days announced by the judge.
