Meet The Popular Nigerian Musician Who Once Sold His Guitar For 52 Million Naira Within 15 Minutes

Things have often been sold for outrageous amount of money at auctions. Ranging from art pieces to rare relics and many more items. Such was the case of Nigerian Legendary Musician, King Sunny Ade, who once sold his Vintage Fender Guitar for 52.1 million naira in Lagos State.

According to an article on Vanguard, the Guitar was sold during the Veteran Musician's 70th birthday party which was held at the Temple Balmoral Marquee, Federal Palace Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos. The party which was held in December, 2016 was attended by Celebrities and Prominent people in the Society. 

The guitar which was designed by a Famous Nigerian Artiste named Victor Ehikamenor was auctioned by Jogun Onabanjo, a certified auctioneer. The opening bid was 9 million naira which was followed by a 17 million bid in two minutes and within 15 minutes, the guitar was sold for a whooping sum of 52.1 Million naira.

The birthday party was attended by influential businessmen such as Aliko Dangote and Femi Otedola. It was later reported that the bid was won by a wealthy Nigerian Businessman named Tunde Folawiyo. King Sunny Ade is indeed a great Singer and Role Model to upcoming Musicians in the Country.
