The tweet’s heading was “Recruiting is ongoing in UPTH. It then stipulated what applicants have to do,”Write an application 4D post from your discipline areas(area of study) 2D”
The application was to be sent to Chief Medical Director (CMD) of University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital.
As at the time People’s Check screenshoted the post, it had 26 retweets, 28 likes, and 5 comments on the post. Some of those who commented are asking about the meaning of the 4D and 2D application.
People’s Check reached out to the Hospital Director of Administration, AKIE HART, who attributed the post as FALSE.
The Public Relations officer of the University of Port Harcourt, ELABHA MINNE, who spoke on behalf of the Director of Administration, told People’s Check that recruitment and employment are done by the Federal Government of Nigeria and has a process which must be announced on a National Newspapers.
MINNE added that “lots of people have been calling to find out if UPTH is recruiting, but we are not”. She urged the public to disregard such rumours.
People’s Check reached out to the influencer, Aborisade Adetola who posted the claim to find out the authenticity of the post. He said the information was from a Red Cross member working in the Hospital.
We insisted he reconfirm again from his source, he said another source has confirmed too. However, further investigation into the influencer’s Twitter account reveals that the influencer has always posted and retweeted Job Opportunities.
As at the time of filing this report, we checked his Twitter timeline and noticed that the post has been deleted without any reason made public
