OPINION|| Political Interference In The NPA Delays Conviction Of Criminals

Political interference in the NPA is legendary. Wasn't Vusi Pikoli removed by Kgalema Motlanthe in connection with the case of political corruption against police commissioner Jackie Selebi? He was subsequently given a job in risk management by Sizwe Ntsaluba. But pressure was put on the audit firm to let him go.

Wasn't Acting Mokotedi Mpshe pressured by a special committee of the ANC NEC, including Sisulu, Ngoako Ramatlhodi and Mathole Motshekga, to drop charges against Zuma as the appropriate "political solution"?

Remember the role of Shaun Abrahams, Lawrence Mrwebi, Nomcobo Jiba, Moipone Noko and other NPA officers in state capture. These were willing to do the hatchet job for Jeff Radebe in the ousting of Mxolisi Nxasana, apparently because he was reviewing the Zuma cases.

In KZN, the prosecutor there, Moipone Noko, was instrumental in charging Det Johan Booysen with the view of eliminating a stumbling block in the project of state capture.

Does anyone think black prosecutors and lawyers in private practice deserve a medal of valour?.....WHAT DO YOU THINK? LET'S TALK IN THE COMMENTS SECTION
