Yoruba foremost traditional ruler, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has stated that Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo aka Sunday Igboho, was advised to exercise patience before his arrest in Cotonou, Benin Republic.

The monarch said if he had listened, he would not have found himself in his current travail.

The monarch made the revelation in an interview with BBC Yoruba, while hinting that many people advised Sunday Igboho wrongly.

Gunmen attack mosque, kill 18 worshipers

Gunmen have allegedly attacked a mosque in Maza-Kuka village in Mashegu local government area of Niger State, killing 18 worshipers.

It was gathered that the armed men invaded the village in large numbers and attacked the villagers, who were performing their early morning prayers.

Secretary to the Niger State government, Ahmed Ibrahim-Matane, confirmed the attack.
