Born on 22nd September 1957, Martha Wangari Karua is a Kenyan politician and big advocate of social justice who has been active in both political and humanitarian scenes since the 90's.
Martha Karua is known for being a long standing Member of Parliament of Gichungu Constituency, and was also an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Other than being an outstanding MP, Martha Karua became a Minister of various Government departments for both former President the late Daniel Moi and Emilio Mwai Kibaki.
In 2013 she shocked many as she became the first female politician to vie for Kenyan Presidency under the Narc Kenya ticket.
