Most people nowadays suffer from diabetes due to various conditions. There are various types of diabetes and one should be careful with what they eat. Here are some of the fruits they should avoid.

The first fruit that a person with diabetes should avoid is pineapple. Pineapple has very high sugar hence its sweetness. It also has a high GI which is dangerous for a diabetic patient.

The second fruit that a person with diabetes should avoid is mangoes. Although mangos have a lot of vitamins it has a lot of calories and high sugar levels that are not good for a diabetic patient.

The third fruit that a person with diabetes should not take is watermelon. Watermelons have a GI of 72 and high sugar levels. which is not healthy for a diabetic person.

The fourth fruit a diabetic patient should not take is bananas. Bananas have a lot of calories and may make someone increase weight. It also has high sugar levels, a medium-sized banana has 14grams of sugar hence increases blood sugar making it dangerous for a diabetic patient.

The fifth fruit a person with diabetes should avoid is grapes. Most types of grapes have lots of sugar levels, a cup of grapes contains around twenty-three grams of sugar which is dangerous for a diabetic patient.

The sixth fruit that someone with diabetes should not take is lychees. It has different types of sugars. A piece has twenty-nine grams of sugar. which might increase blood sugar levels.

The other fruit that a diabetic patient should not take dates. Dates are highly concentrated with calories, it contains about 100 calories per fruit. It also has high sugar levels. which is not good for a diabetic patient.
