This young and beautiful lady is called senior sergeant Phoebe Makau. She is a mother of one child and happily married to a soldier who works in South Sudan called Benedict Mwanza. Growing up in the village, Koola location, Machakos sub-county in Machakos County, she had a dream of beating the odds and joining the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF). She is currently the first Kenyan Female warship engineer.

In a career that was perceived to be male-dominated, Makau tried her luck in KDF recruitment and later was selected because of her exemplary performance in mathematics. Indeed her dream was suddenly coming to actualization. She was later selected for electrical engineering in the navy where she started honing the learnt skills during the training as a Navy base engineer with a key mandate of overseeing the waterpower. Her relentless service to the navy saw her rise into various ranks. Makau has since then inspired many girls in her village to try their luck of joining KDF. Besides her career, she is a dedicated member of St Peter's church in Mtongwe where she is religiously part of the choir. Congratulations to her and follow me for more scintillating content.
