The "Weed" In Kisii Is 50 Times Potent Than The One In Europe And You Want It Legal~Former Chair Nacada

The former chairperson of NACADA John Mututho has laid out reasons to an infamous claim that he had just made about Bhang and it legalization in Kenya after several Rastafarian family came pushing for its legalization .The Former chair has claimed that the bhang that is grown in Kenya is 50 Times more dangerous or let me put it this way, more effective than those grown in European countries.

According to the former chair, he has especially singled out Kisii as a place that has more acidic soil, temperature and other specific factors that makes the bang more effective there. He has requested for thorough research to be conducted before allowing these bhang to be legalized in Kenya.

Speaking during an interview with KTN News, Mututho called for more research to be employed saying cannabis potency differs from region to region and is dependent on a number of factors including altitude, soil, water and temperature.

He pointed out that the cannabis used for fibre in Europe has 0.2% of Tetrahydrocannabinoid (THC), a crystalline compound that is the main active ingredient of cannabis, as compared to the one in Kisii and other parts of the country that have 10.2%.

This came after the Rastafarian members and community went to file a petition in court for legalization of bhang to allow for use in culinary, religious activities among others. What is your opinion about this?
