The Elgeyo Marakwet County Senator and the former senate majority leader Onesmus Kipchumba Murkomen has finally broken his silence after President Uhuru's new Covid-19 measures following the hike in number of positive cases in the country.

His words allegedly come after the president's speech, where he ordered a sessation of movement in and out of four counties (Nakuru, Nairobi, Kiambu and Machakos) as well as reducing the nation wide curfew from 10 pm to 8 pm in the same counties that have been mostly affected.

The president also ordered the closure of all learning institutions until further notice, suspended bars in the affected counties and also ordered the eateries and restaurants to only offer take away services to halt the spread of the virus.

In his reaction to the measures, Kipchumba Murkomen has however questioned some of the measures that were enforced, claiming that they were supposed to consider learners who have been locked as well as other Kenyans who will also be affected by the same restrictions as he gave a story of his ally who has been forced to return from their home counties while they were traveling to Kajiado.
