34 Out of 47 Counties Have Recorded At Least One Case of Corona Virus

As the country battle with the third wave of Corona Virus pandemic, today it has recorded the highest number of cases since the beginning of the wave.

1,064 Cases were recorded today in the last 24 hours from a sample size of 6,151. From the cases, 34 counties recorded at least one case each.

Nairobi was the leading with 681 cases, followed by the neighboring Kiambu with 93, Nakuru 69, Uasin Gishu 40, Kisumu 25, Kajiado 23, Busia 20, Machakos 17, Kericho 17, Mombasa 15, Nyeri 10, Kirinyaga 8, Isiolo 5, Mandera 5, Laikipia 4, Turkana 4, Nandi 4, Meru 4, Elgeyo Marakwet 3, Migori 3, Siaya 3.

Counties of Embu, Kakamega, Kwale, Marsabit, Murang’a, Narok, Nyamira, Nyandarua, Tharaka Nithi, Baringo and Bomet recorded one case each.

The number of foreigners testing positive for the virus has increased significantly. 100 of them tested positive from the total cases while 964 are Kenyans.

Number of fatalities have also risen to 1925 after 7 patients succumbed on the last 24 hours. It includes an MCA from Kiambu County and a Royal Media Journalist. Mat their souls Rest in Eternal Peace.
