TS Galaxy' Ethan Brooks has enjoyed an exciting and a very steady rise from amateur football towards making it to the senior national team over the space of just two years after being discovered by the Mpumalanga outfit TS GALAXY Football Club.
The young midfielder has caught the eye of many football lovers with several industrious performances in the 2020/21 DStv Premiership campaign and South Africa's successful 2021 COSAFA Cup tournament in Gqeberha last month. On his current trajectory in the South African top-flight, interest from foreign clubs seem to be inevitable but should one or all of the big three of the Premier Soccer League come knocking for his availability, Brooks has admitted that he would prefer signing for the reigning and defending DSTV Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns.
"I would definitely choose Mamelodi Sundowns if the big-three were to show any interest" Ethan Brooks told KickOff Magazine as quoted on their website.
"I am a big fan of Sundowns and I got to play with Lebogang Maboe, Sphelele Mkhulise and Rushine De Reuck (in the national team) you know. I noticed that they are calm and comfortable on the ball with high work-rate which suits my style of play." - Ethan Brooks
Brooks is one of the most promising young incoming players in the Premier Soccer League. Having made his international debut at such a young age will help him grow at a rapid rate with experience piling up on him together with confidence. Usually when Mamelodi Sundowns sign young players, they send them out on loan to improve certain aspects of their game.
With Brooks interested to join Masandawana, he is currently in the right direction in terms of being the perfect candidate for Sundowns to sign in the near future. In the current transfer window, there has been no reported transfer offers received by TS Galaxy for the services of Brooks.
