Tana River governor Dhadho Godhana’s residence has been closed indefinitely after 16 people tested positive for the killer COVID-19 virus.
4 staff members and 12 other people are said to have tested positive for the fast-spreading disease leading to the closure of the residence that is based in Hola.
County’s Health executive Javan Bonaya has confirmed the news and also revealed that the governor’s family has been urged to stay away from the residence. Members of the public have equally been asked not to visit the residence.
“I have asked the family members (of the governor) and members of the public to stay away from the residence because it is under health watch,” he told the Standard.
Bonaya also urged the locals to be cautious of the disease. He called on them to seek medical attention whenever they experience COVID-19 like symptoms.
“If you notice any Covid-like symptoms in you, simply seek medical attention and ensure you use masks properly and self-distance,” he added.
