A lady identified as Mary Wanjiru who lives in Murang'a county has narrated how police officers attacked her last week, just a few minutes after curfew hours.
Speaking to Inooro TV, Mary who is now receiving treatment at Murang'a county refferal hospital revealed that the police officers suddenly started hitting her on her ribs. They later threw her down and one of them stepped on her chest as the other one strangled her.
Mary saved herself from dying by biting the hand of a police officer who was strangling her. Before she collapsed, she heard the police officers saying they should kill her.
Mary says she is in great pain and has now become paralyzed. She also added that the police officers took away all the cash that she had made from her business.
Murang'a county Police Commander Donatha Kiplangat says they are still investigating the issue and action will be taken against the police officers if they are found guilty.
