Jubilee Vice chair Murathe expected to tour Riftvalley to popularize Raila's 2022 presidential bid

Political campaigns have heated up in the country. Top presidential contenders led by deputy president William Ruto and former prime minister Raila Odinga are traversing different parts of the country popularizing their respective bids.

Jubilee party vice chairman David Murathe is expected to tour larger Riftvalley region to popularize Raila Odinga 2022 presidential bid under Azimio La Umoja movement.

The vocal politician said that he will be touring parts of Riftvalley region to campaign for Azimio La Umoja movement and Raila Odinga presidential bid.

" I will be touring parts of Riftvalley to campaign for Azimio La Umoja. I hope majority of you will be there to accompany me and support my bid" wrote Jubilee vice chairman David Murathe on his official Facebook page.

Mr. Murathe further drummed support for Raila Odinga 6,000 monthly stipends to poor families in the country.

" We must change the conversation and focus in boosting the welfare of the poor by ensuring that every family receives 6000 monthly" added David Murathe.

Riftvalley region is perceived to be deputy president William Ruto political stronghold. Majority of leaders from the region are behind deputy president William Ruto 2022 presidential bid.

William Ruto also enjoys grassroot support in the region and David Murathe tour is meant to neutralize Ruto's ground support in the region.

On Tuesday during a consultative meeting with Muranga leaders and professionals, David Murathe said that ruling Jubilee party will endorse Raila Odinga as their preferred presidential candidate soon in Uhuru park.

Several leaders from Riftvalley region have thrown their weights behind Raila Odinga presidential bid. They include Elgeyo Marakwet governor Alex Tolgos, West pokot governor John lonyangapuo, Pokot South legislator Pkosing and a host of MCAs from West pokot county.
