Health CS Mutahi Kagwe Hints on Possibilities of Reviewing Passenger Flights to and from India


Health Cabinet Secretary Senator Mutahi Kagwe has hinted on the possibilities of the government reviewing the passenger flights to and from India in bid to curb the speedy spread of the corona virus.

India which has been recording high numbers of new infections of over one hundred and fifty thousands daily has become a red zone and Kenyans exposure to the same might bring more harm.

In today's daily corona virus pandemic update, the Ministry of Health has announced a confirmation of new 194 cases in a sample of more than 1,700 ten being foreigners.

The Ministry has outlined that 826,617 people has so far been vaccinated with a bigger percentage being people with 58 years and above, health workers who are frontline soldiers and teachers respectively.

Commenting on the state of health issues in India, the Cabinet Secretary said, "it is a devastating covid-19 wave in India that has stretched their health facilities. We condole and sympathize with them."
