The summer transfer window is approaching and many clubs are planning on they will strengthen their squads. Manchester United, Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea are expected to be extra busy as they look to improve on this season's results.
Every football fan remembers the former Manchester United and Everton midfielder, Marouane Fellaini who left Europe two years ago and joined the Chinese Super League. The tall midfielder joined Shandong Luneng after quitting Old Trafford two years ago.
According to the Daily Mail, Marouane Fellaini is expected to end his contract with Shandong Luneng earlier after his former boss Jose Mourinho showed interest in signing him. The Portuguese wants Tottenham hierarchy to reunite him with Fellaini this summer to add more steel to his squad defensive woes.
Jose Mourinho had a good relationship with Fellaini during his stint at Old Trafford. The Belgian rarely missed in Jose Mourinho's starting lineup. Things changed when Mourinho was sacked and managed to play only 31 minutes under Ole Gunnar Solkjaer.
Jose Mourinho's future at Tottenham is still unclear especially after the Spurs were knocked out of the Europa League and the possibility of qualifying for a Champion League spot looking unlikely. If he stays Fellaini can be signed but if dismissed the big Belgian might remain in China.
