The premiere Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed suspensions of seven players including two Kaizer Stars ahead of weekend games.

The DStv premiership will return this afternoon for the weekend action until tomorrow.

However a total of seven players will miss all this weekend's action due to suspensions.

Kaizer Chiefs will miss the duo of Njabulo Blom and Cole Alexander when they visit to face their Soweto rivals Swallows FC at Dobsonville Stadium on Sunday.

This will come as a huge blow for Amakhosi as Blom has been the club's ever present figure so far this season.

The youngster has cemented his place in the club's starting eleven as a right back and his absence will force the club's head coach Stuart Baxter to look for other options.

The player will be suspended only one game due to many yellow cards after he received another yellow card on Wednesday against Amazulu.

Meanwhile Alexander will miss two games after the player was red carded on a midweek game against Amazulu.

However the player has not played much for Chiefs this season and his absence will be hardly felt by the club.

Benni McCarthy's side Amazulu will also miss Samkelo Mgwazela when they play against their KwaZulu Natal rivals Maritzburg United this weekend.

The player was also red carded on a midweek game against Chiefs and will be ruled out for two games.

The team of choice also has one player suspended.

The club will miss their left back Zukile Kewuti who also plays as a midfielder under Ernst Middendorp.

Cape Town City will miss their influential midfielder Thato Mokeke when they face TS Galaxy this weekend.

The second placed Stellenbosch FC will miss Devin Titus when they face Royal AM.

The player received a red card last week on a game against Amazulu.
