Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i is one of the leaders who are very close to President Uhuru Kenyatta. Although he is close to the Head of State, Fred Matiang'i has not been enduring a close relationship with Deputy President William Ruto. They have been in a cold war and it is even speculated that it is Matiang'i who was given DP William Ruto's duties in the government.
Today, Fred Matiang'i was present as President Uhuru Kenyatta was addressing the Nation on the corona virus pandemic but before he went there, Matiang'i was doing his job as usual.
Through his official twitter account, Fred Matiang'i disclosed that he held a meeting with Tiaty MP William Kamket in the morning before he proceeded to the State House for the speech.
"I was delighted to meet with Hon. Kamket,MP for Tiati to discuss challenges of restoring complete peace & security in Kapedo. The @InteriorKE will continue to work with all leaders from the region to ensure that Kapedo residents live in peace & succeed in their economic lives." Tweeted Fred Matiang'i.
