The Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) was ruled out last week by high court Judges who declared it null and Void, citing celebration in deputy president William Ruto's Tangatanga supporter who have been against it.
On the other side, the Proponents of the Constitution amendment Bill protested the rulling, asserting that the Judges who ruled out the document were on revenge mission, where some leaders accused the judges for dis regarding president Uhuru Kenyatta too.
However, following an appeal by the BBI proponents, City Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has given fresh details on the Constiution amendment Bill 2020. Through his Twitter social media, Mr Abdullahi has allegged that that the success rate of the appeal still remains minimal, hinting at a one percent success rate.
On the other hand, the Lawyer has congratulated Law society of Kenya (LSK) president Nelson Havi and economist David Ndio for tirelessly defending the current Constiution.
"Very Very Very impressed with submissions on "the basic structure doctrine" & "the eternity clauses" by President@NelsonHavi and his team in the bbi case...finally read judgment. The chance of an appeal succeeding on THE MERITS is about one % @DavidNdii," Ahmednasir has penned on his Twitter handle.
