ICT cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru has retaliated that his entanglement with politics is not aimed at rigging votes in favour of former prime minister Raila Odinga, but instead he is focused on protecting his votes.
His department being amongst the key players of the forthcoming August general elections, deputy President William Ruto and his brigade have asked him to either stop taking sides or rather resign, since his entanglement with Azimio political a threat to the transparency of August polls.
However, United Democratic Alliance (UDA) chairman Johnson Muthama has also broken silence, taking to Twitter to State that Kenyans deserve a free and fair elections, prohibiting him from engaging in campaigns and taking sides on matters politics.
"Public servants are prohibited from engaging in campaigns or taking sides on matters politics. CS @mucheru's utterances and direct involvement in Azimio (@AzimioUmoja) is a direct violation of the law. The CS should be non-partisan and devote," Muthama has penned.
