Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has broken his silence hours after it emerged that his candidate in the Nguu/Maimba Ward by-elections has lost.
In a statement he released to the public, Kalonzo congratulated the three candidates for putting spirited fight in their bid to capture the seat.
"I take this early opportunity to congratulate Timothy Maneno on winning the Nguu/Masimba Ward seat on an Independent ticket.
"We also thank the other candidates including our wiper candidates Eshio Mwaiwa and UDA's Daniel Musau for putting up a brave fight to capture the seat," Kalonzo said.
The wiper leader however condemned pockets of violence witnessed in some areas during the polls saying the developments are against his part ideals.
"The People of Nguu-Masimba have spoken through the ballot and we honour their decision," he added.
He further added that the outcome of the polls is inconsequential in his bid to clinch the country's top seat.
