Popular UNN First Class Graduate Who Turned Farmer Bags PhD Scholarship In The United States

Emmanuel Nworie, a first class Mathematics graduate of The University of Nigeria Nsukka has bagged a fully funded scholarship in the United States. This news was reported by instablog9ja.

Nworie who farms in his village in Ebonyi state due to poverty and lack of support bagged this fully funded scholarship to further his education. Here is a picture of the Young Nworie Emmanuel;

The 27 year-old Nworie who graduated with the cumulative grade point of 4.92/5.0 received three offers from Universities in the Southern part of the United States.

The UNN graduate emerged as one of the 23 candidates selected from a pool of 1509 applicants for the scholarship covering costs for application fees and Graduate Record Exam (GRE)- a requirement for the graduate application of some courses in the United States.

What a great opportunity!

The ambition to go far in life requires more of your struggles than anyone can offer. The first thing is knowing what you want ,aiming a goal and going for it because once you are determined, favours can come from every angle.

Recounting the challenges he faced, Nworie said "I started having challenges in 2005 when we struggled with the health of my dad, I have long wanted to be a mathematician but after my dad passed away, I was deterred because at some point I was trying to save for undergraduate studies, but after 2 years I couldn't save enough so I was frustrated.

Taiwo who made the announcement said he is going to one of the best Universities in the world.
