Cristiano Ronaldo was in action this evening, as he captained Portugal to an heavyweight clash against Germany at the Fussball Arena Munich.

The 36 year-old scored the first goal of the fixture, as he made use of a nice pass from Diogo Jota to easily find the back of the net in the 15th minute.

Germany took the lead before half time, as Ruben Dias and Raphael Guerreiro both scored an own goal to make it 2-1 in favour of their opponents.

Kai Havertz got on the scoresheet in the second half, by slotting the ball into the back of the net in the 51st minute to make it 3-1 for his side.

Robin Gosens scored nine minutes later to further extend Germany's lead, making it 4-1 in the 60th minute.

Diogo Jota eventually pulled a goal for Portugal in the 67th minute to make it 4-2 at full time. Cristiano Ronaldo provided the assist.
