South Africa's renowned world record breaking athlete Caster Semenya has criticised the World Athletics. The athlete complains about the body of allegedly complicating her gender when it comes to her participation in the sports.
According to her complaints the body has allegedly classified her to participate in both categories of males and females. The categories are however differentiated by the distance which the runner has to undertake.
"So according to World Athletics and its members, I am a male when it comes to 400m, 800m, 1500m and 1600m race. Then a female in 100m, 200m, and long distance events. what a research. What kind of a fool would do that?" Caster posted.
Caster has been at the center of gender issues for a while now. In 2019 the governing body of track argued in court alleging that Caster is 'biologically male.' "That is the reason she should reduce her natural testosterone to be allowed to compete in female competitions." The body argued.
