The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC has reiterated its readiness to reopen cases of Political figures indicted in corruption.
The Chairman of the Commission, Mr Abdulrasheed Bawa made this disclosure in a meeting where he said;
"All the politically exposed cases that Nigerians are aware of including those in court will be vigorously followed up and sustained until prosecution.
He further stated that the Commission has successfully secured the conviction of former Manager of a Bank, Mr Francis Atuche who was sentenced to six years Imprisonment on all the 21 count charges out of the 27 leveled against him.
He further Revealed that cases of individuals like Ikedi Ohakim, Amosun, Lawa Kala and Orji Uzo Kalu who we're going to prosecute all over again after 12 years of charges against him.
Bawa also added that the Special control unit against money laundering which is managed by the EFCC and Ministry of Trade and Investment is expected to carry out operations on non designated financial institutions like car dealers, jewelry dealers, real estate etc.
