Ibrahim Mahama Comes To The Rescue Again. Gives TAMASCO 1000 Bags Of Rice and Other Food Items.

Tamale Secondary School (TAMASCO) is now, arguably, the most resourced Secondary School in Ghana as far as provisions for feeding students is concerned. This has been made possible, thanks to the benevolence of a former student of the school; ING. Ibrahim Mahama.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Engineers & Planners Ltd, made the donation to his alma mater on Monday, February 28, 2022.

At a time when there are reports of shortages of food items in some Secondary Schools across the country, with School in the Northern part of Ghana being hit the hardest, this supplies count not have come at a better time. 

The items include 1000 bags of rice, 100 gallons of cooking oil, 200 boxes of Mackerel and 200 boxes of tomato paste. Per the records, The school consume 986 bags of rice per semester. The items are therefore expected to cater for the students throughout the semester. Other food items were also presented. 

According to Mr. Rafik Mahama, Aide to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama, who presented the items indicated, Mr. Ibrahim Mahama wants lives to be better for students on campus and the vulnerable or less privileged in society. 

"Mr. Ibrahim Mahama sent me from Accra to come and present these various food items to TAMASCO, his alma mater. This is the number of bags needed to take care of the entire student population on campus for the semester" Mr. Rafik said.

Receiving the items on behalf of the School, the Headmaster expressed his gratitude to Mr. Ibrahim Mahama for his continuous support to the school needs.

 “It’s a very good gesture and this will help solve any food challenges the school may encounter" the grateful headmaster said. 

Meanwhile, the Work on the 550 -bed ultra-modern dormitory for the school, which is also being fully financed by Mr. Ibrahim Mahama is still in progress. 

The project, which is 75% complete, will go a long was in solving the accommodation problems of the school.
