Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react to the viral news of Nnamdi Kanu's arrest and extradition to Nigeria. The leader of the proscribed group, Indigenous People of Biafra(IPOB), was reportedly arrested on Sunday, June 27, in the UK.
The Twitter page of PUNCH newspaper recently reported the news of Nnamdi Kanu's arrest which was announced by the Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubarkar Malami. Malami disclosed that Kanu was arrested by a joint task force in the United Kingdom and that he would be arraigned in court later today.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have taken to Twitter to express their opinion on the trending news. Some were happy while others were sad about the arrest. Others described Nnamdi Kanu as an extremist and believed that it is compulsory he is charged to court.
A few other people, including Aisha Yesufu and Reno Omokri, have expressed surprise at the swift manner with which Nnamdi Kanu was arrested and immediately extradited to Nigeria. They wondered why the federal government can't invest the same energy in combating terrorism that is plaguing the country.

Presently, there are reports that Nnamdi Kanu is at the Federal High Court, Abuja, where he will be charged for terrorism and treason.
