President Uhuru Kenyatta on Thursday condoled with the family of Jubilee secretary general and CS Raphael Tuju, following the death of their mother Mama Mary Odiyo Tuju.
In his message, the president remembered Mama Mary as a hard-working community leader and elder who valued and supported education as the foundation of life.
"Her belief that education was the foundation of life was the inspiration that led many from her community to pursue education, and become productive members of society,” Uhuru said.
Mama Mary exceeded away on Wednesday night even as undergoing treatment on the Karen medical institution.She died aged 87.
Uhuru defined Mama Mary as a robust matriarch who raised a a success family.He additionally prayed for God's consolation to the Tuju family as they undergo this hard time, and assured of his support to the circle of relatives.
