It is clear that Kenyans are indeed suffering. This is evident from the protests and how they have expressed themselves through various social media platforms like Facebook, twitter and even on both television screens and radio stations. Most people are not happy with the recent directives by the government to close the borders of some counties.

The move has affected many people. Many Kenyans have lost their jobs as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. This happened as a result of the closure of industries such as transportation, schooling, restaurants, and bars. Kenyans are eagerly awaiting another long lockdown like the one that happened last year.

Kenyans had mixed feelings when President Uhuru Kenyatta declared another lockdown last week. Some thought the change was pointless, while others saw it as a vital step to stop the Covid-19 from spreading.

President Uhuru Kenyatta ordered that bars, schools, universities, and restaurants, to name a few, be closed. You can now imagine the number of Kenyans who have lost their jobs as a result of the order. Kenyans have taken the situation seriously.

Some people would rather die of Covid-19 than hunger, anxiety, or high blood pressure. Kenyans on Twitter have been attempting to communicate that the president should open the country yesterday and today.

#Unlock the nation has been trending on Twitter for the past two days. Kenyans are raising their voices in the expectation that their appeals will be heard by the president.

Kenyans need food, which cannot be obtained by simply sitting at home with no income. They are pleading with the president to either open the country or provide food. Despite the fact that Kenyans need the country's opening, they must exercise caution because the virus is real and is claiming lives.

What are your thoughts on the president's recent declaration of national law What do you think the president should have done instead of putting the nation in lockdown?
