Why Attorney General Paul Kihara As Withdraw His Petition Over Recent BBI Ruling At High Court

There has been confusion and mixed reactions after Attorney General Paul Kihara withdrew a petition he had filed at the High Court to freeze the ruling that declared BBI bill report null and void. On 14th March 2021, he had filed the petition at High court and this move drew suspicion. It drew suspicion because he opt to seek the stay of BBI judgement in High court instead of Court of Appeal. This move made Senoir Counsel to say that the matter is not of urgency.

Paul Kihara now wants to file the petition case at Court of Appeal. He opted for this move because it would be a challenge to get an approval from the same bench that gave a final decision on the matter. High Court will never change their decision once they give their final ruling.
