Iyabo Ojo has sparked reaction on social media after releasing a statement concerning the curfew time in Lagos State. It's true that the pandemic has really affected certain businesses in all part of the country. However, the effect of the pandemic in other states can't be compared to what was faced by the inhabitants of Lagos State.
Till this moment, the Lagos State Government is still maintaining a curfew of 12am-4am every day. Questions have been raised on why Sanwo-Olu decides to hold a curfew in the State when the effect of Covid19 has drastically reduced.
Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has felt the need to send a direct message to Governor Sanwo-Olu. According to her, people who own bars, clubs, and lounges have been affected by this decision. She said: "Jide Sanwo-Olu, please sir, can you kindly address this 12am -4am curfew. Is there still curfew in Lagos and why? Is it that Corona Virus moves between 12am-4am or is there another reason why?".
She further stated: "please I am asking on behalf of all lounge, bar and club owners in Lagos. We are running into serious debt and loss. A lot of us are closing down and it's affecting lives and family, we need answers".
