Bad news for Tinubu as Buhari dissolves APC NWC, appoints Northern Governor as caretaker (Details)

The ongoing National Executive Committee meeting of the All Progressive Congress convened by the Acting National Chairman, Victor Giadom has so far reached two key resolutions.

Following the recommendation of President Muhammadu Buhari, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been dissolved and a caretaker committee instituted.

Governor of Yobe State, H.E Mai Mala Buni has just been appointed as the chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC)’s caretaker committee and extraordinary national convention. He would be expected to take over from Giadom whose reign as Acting National Chairman has effectively come to an end following the decisions.

This means that pending court ruling over the legality of the meeting, Prince Hilliard Eta APC faction ceases to function also. The biggest casualty following these resolutions is the embattled two times governor of Lagos states, Ahmed Bola Tinubu.

It remains to be seen what course of action Bola Tinubu and his allies will take after today's meeting.

More details to come.
