Kisumu County is facing serious health crisis following the spike in Covid 19 in the recent past.
Just days before the much celebrated madaraka day on June 1st, the county's Covid 19 number increased largely with new deaths reported.
This prompted the health experts to call for more precautionary measures and even advising the State House to consider changing the venue.
The stubborn virus has since entered schools as Teachers and Students now live in fear of contracting the disease.
In a test conducted today at St Theresa's Girl's Secondary school in Kibuye, four teachers and three support staffs tested positive for Corona virus.
In a report given out by the school management, the seven have since been isolated within the school as more tests are set to be conducted.
This has raised fears among the education fraternity and the parents as students are already reporting back from a short midterm break.
Residents of Kisumu County now fear for more infections in schools and are urging the government to consider alternative measures of curbing the novel virus.
Reports now indicate that the county is likely to face hard times following a huge gathering in last week's madaraka day celebrations where Covid 19 containment measures were seriously violated.
