Kandara Member of Parliament Alice Wahome has criticized President Uhuru Kenyatta for what she claimed was sidelining of the Deputy President William Ruto in different issues of national importance.
Wahome who is a close ally of the Second in Command stated that the president was not fair to his Deputy, who before the handshake were close friends, and the fact that he decided to take Ruto as his running mate for the second term spoke volume that Ruto was the best candidate.
Speaking with the Nation, the vocal legislator claimed that the residents of Mount Kenya are behind thr Deputy President, and will support his 2022 presidential ambitions.
She went on to state that President Uhuru Kenyatta started engaging allies who were not 'accepted' in the Central Region at the expense of Ruto, adding that the residents sympathy towards Ruto will win him massive support come next year.
"The president looked for other allies not accepted to the region, and he has used methods of exclusivity and also old style of politics that did not make sense to the people who put him and Ruto to power twice.." said Wahome.
