300lbs. worth of marijuana valued at $238,960 discovered by border agents in Texas


According to Customs and Border Protection, border patrol agents in Texas discovered hundreds of pounds of cannabis, also known as marijuana packed inside an abandoned SUV very close to the Mexico border.

According to a press release from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, patrol agents got a report about a blue SUV truck that was suspected of being involved in illegal activity.

The agents found the blue SUV truck travelling at a high speed southbound on Mines Road. They tried to stop the car, but the driver reportedly absconded, there by giving way to chasing.

The truck driver keep going until he reached the World Trade Bridge, which links the United States and Mexico over the Rio Grande River. He reportedly abandoned the SUV truck and fled into Mexico, CPB revealed.

The agent that searched the abandoned car found cannabis weighing almost 300lbs. and valued at $238,960. The exhibit was handed over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
