Du Plessis: GKs Have Dropped At Chiefs Read More.

Kaizer Chiefs legend Wade du Plessis says the norm of goalkeeping at the club has dropped and is not, at this point the manner in which it used to be.

Du Plessis says despite the fact that on paper the club has the best goalkeeping office in the DStv Premiership as they have Nigerian and South African public group goalkeepers in Daniel Akpeyi and Itumeleng Khune, the two of them need consistency.

Throughout the long term the club's goalkeeping division has consistently been the club's valued belonging. In the previous a Chiefs guardian would alone be relied upon to win the group a game and not just save clear balls.

"Actually no, not all things are as yet unchanged hello and you know what, I can't place it however groups like Kaizer Chiefs, the greatest group in South Africa, they ought to have one, two top goalkeepers performing week in, week out reliably you know," Du Plessis tells KickOff.com.

"Be that as it may, they simply don't have it any longer. I don't have the foggiest idea what the issue is hello, I realize Khune is going downhill. That happens to everybody you know. Yet, this goalkeeper that is playing right now [Akpeyi], he was performing great last season, however lately... I don't have a clue.

"You know in goalkeeping certainty is something major hello. It's one situation on the field that you stand out in contrast to everything else. There's quality goalkeepers there, however they are simply not performing to the best quality that they are required to.

"As I said, goalkeeping is an exceptionally troublesome position, and I couldn't say whether perhaps it's a certainty issue, however when a goalkeeper doesn't play with certainty you can see it.
