Odumegwu Ojukwu, popularly called the Ikemba of Nnewi was a highly accomplished military officer both in the Nigerian Army, and the now defunct Biafran army. He is famous for leading the then eastern region of Nigeria to secede from Nigeria.
After the war, Odumegwu Ojukwu was highly influential in the politics of eastern Nigeria, he founded the All progressive grand alliance(APGA) and he contested for the presidency of the federal republic of Nigeria in 2003 under that same political party he founded.
To mark their 20th wedding anniversary, Bianca Ojukwu paid tribute to her late husband for enduring all manner of talks during the months that led to their marriage. The beautiful mother of 3 children narrated how her father, the late chief C. C Onoh had initially refused to bless the union.
