Deputy President William Ruto spent the weekend in Nyeri County where as usual wowed residents to supporting his Hustler Nation movement. Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga was among the leaders who vowed to support Ruto in 2022.

The deputy president is seeking to succeed his boss president Uhuru in the 2022 elections and become Kenya’s 5th President. However, his main competitor Raila Odinga will also stop at nothing in ensuring he clinches the top seat in his 6th attempt.

On Sunday, Ruto bashed the ODM Leader in Nyeri, a move that triggered ODM Communication director Phili Etale in reacting with equal force.

Etale on Monday, December 6, 2021 urged Ruto to watch his words and take time to repent for crimes such as the Kiambaa church massacre that occurred after elections. The ODM comms. Director urged Ruto to repent as we head to elections.

The Kiambaa massacre where women and children were burned alive inside a church has been heavily linked with DP Ruto who has however insisted in past interviews and ICC Court he was not at any point involved in the heinous crime.
