Accra Hearts of Oak's GPL game with Eleven Wonders on Monday postponed indefinitely on health grounds

The Ghana Premier League, GPL Matchday 30 fixture between Accra Hearts of Oak and Eleven Wonders scheduled to have come off on Monday, has been postponed on health grounds according to sources.

The Phobians have taken to their media channels to announce that the upcoming fixture has been called off upon the advice of the Ghana Health Service, (GHS).

According to the capital club, the GHS is still investigating the cause of the illness that rocked the Hearts of Oak camp last week in the lead up to their game with Bibiani Gold Stars in Accra.

The Phobians reported that close to half of their registered players were affected by a strange disease and, they called for their game with the Miners to be postponed, but, this was rejected by the Ghana Football Association, (GFA).

The GFA has been notified by the GHS that it is still investigating the cause of the ailment that affected Hearts of Oak and, has asked for their game with Eleven Wonders to be postponed until further notice.

The game was due to be played at the Ohene Ameyaw Park, Techiman as the last of the GPL Matchday 30 fixtures as the season heads to a close.

A new date for the game will be confirmed by the GFA in due course and, it adds to the AshantiGold SC and Asante Kotoko Matchday 29 fixture that has also been postponed for security reasons.
