President Uhuru Kenyatta has once again taken a dig at his Deputy President William Samoei Ruto with merely 38 days to the August 9 general election. Speaking at a function at KICC attended by several other leaders including agriculture cabinet Secretary Peter Munya, without mentioning names, the president lashed out his Deputy for giving out numerous promises yet he had the mandate to deliver them in Jubilee administration.
The Kenya Kwanza Alliance unveiled their manifesto just 2 days ago full of promises to Kenyans to fulfill once elected to office.
The president further urged his critics to stop attacking the Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Peter Munya whom he praised to have done alot of revival in the sector in less than 2 years of appointment. He slammed the predecessors CS allied to the DP for being in the sector for 8 years without improving it.
The agricultural sector is still facing several challenges including fertilizer prices leading to high cost of food production. Government blames Russian-Ukrainian conflicts to the rise on the cost of production.
