DP Ruto's Billboard Allegedly Removed by President Uhuru Kenyatta's "Relative" in Kiambaa

In what seems to be a building-up political rivalry, a Kiambaa resident purporting to be President Uhuru Kenyatta's relative has pulled down a billboard pitched by MP Moses Kuria. The poster belonged to UDA party campaign. The irate Gatundu South MP, took to his Facebook page to lament how the person in question, said he was related to the president and that he was not happy the UDA' s poster was on his piece of land. The political tension has intensified following the much-anticipated by-election which is scheduled for July 15, 2021, to fill a vacancy that occurred following the death of Jubilee MP Paul Koinange on March

The big wigs on the by-election race are between UDA and Jubilee Party. Some weeks ago, there were controversies surrounding the campaigns after Kimunya said the government will not allocate development funds to the Kiambaa constituency should the electorate reject Jubilee's Karanja Kariri. On the other hand, James Nyoro of Kiambu said Jubilee Party's campaigns are disorganized and could tilt the scales in favor of UDA’s Njuguna Wanjiku.
