Some People Are On Atwea Mountains busily Praying For Dumsor – NPP MP Tells Vim Lady

The Member of Parliament for Abura Asebu Kwamankese Constituency in the Central Region of Ghana, Mr. Elvis Morris Donkoh has revealed that some people are busily praying on Atwea Mountains for Dumsor to deepen in Ghana.

He made the remark on United Television’s Critical Issues program hosted by Afia Pokua who is also known as Vim Lady this Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Mr. Elvis Morris Donkoh, who is also the Vice-Chairman of the Mines and Energy Committee of parliament indicated that, the sole aim of those who are currently at the Atwea mountains is to pray for God to plunged the country into total darkness as it happened under the presidency of Mr. John Dramani Mahama.

Even though he was unable to mention names, the NPP Member of Parliament indicated that God will never answer such prayers.

He says the Dumsor under Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo cannot be compared to what happened under John Mahama.

“This Dumsor is totally different. What happened under John Mahama is purely a generational problem. That’s why I said people are on Atwea Mountains praying and fasting for John Mahama’s Dumsor to return to Ghana. They are there praying that this country will be plunged into total darkness. They are being sponsored by some well-known people in Ghana for God to listen to their prayers. But that will not happen in Ghana. God will not listen to that prayers. Mahama’s Dumsor will never happen under Akufo Addo”. He told Vim Lady.

Mr. Elvis Morris Donkoh further indicated that Ghana’s total electricity need is around 3,200 MW but the NDC under John Dramani Mahama was distributing only 2000 MW and that plunged the entire country into dumsor. He says the situation is far different from what is happening now.

“There was no enough power generation in the dumsor that happened under John Mahama. In Ghana now, we require about 3,200 MW of power when we are at a peak. But at the time of John Mahama, the country was unable to generate even 2000 MW so the little that was there was being shared for the entire population. So the dumsor at that time was very bad. That’s what I termed international dumsor”. He added.
