Haki Africa Group Proposes The Government to Abolish Taxes On These 20 Commodities.

Following the recently announced high prices of Petroleum products that have really shifted Kenya's economy to the worst, the Haki Africa Group, led by the Executive Director, Hussein Khalid proposes that the government should employ measures to relieve Kenyans of the High Tax Burden.
The lobby group stated that the government should abolish taxes on 20 commodities including petrol, diesel, kerosene, flour and sanitary towels.
The group also proposed that the government should introduce Robinhood tax to take from the rich and share with the poor who are at stake.
On March, 14 the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) had announced the high fuel prices that have made the life of noble citizens more difficult.
The leader of Free Kenya movement, Bob Njagi, stated that fuel is the most used commodity in most business and a hike in price will translate into a great burden to the ordinary Mwananchi.
Bob also threatened to mobilize mass action across the country to ensure their rights are tended to.
