There are two types of denim fabric: the twill and the plain weave. Denim is distinguished from other cotton fabrics by the diagonal ribs visible on the face of the cloth. This diagonal design is created using any unique twill weave.

Due to its unique twill weave style, this denim fabric is highly durable and robust. It's not as tough as canvas, but it's quite resilient and heavy. Bull denim is used primarily for upholstery and home design, rather than for apparel.

There are two varieties of colored denim - blue and the rest of the colors. The blue color or colors near to blue are obtained using a technique known as indigo dying. Sulfur dyeing offers denim other colors as black, pink, grey, mustard, green, red, etc.

This is denim that has been integrated with elastic synthetic fibers like lycra/spandex, which gives it stretch. The amount of elastin in the cloth will determine the amount of stretch.

This is Denim fabric with a percentage of Polyester fibers blended in it. This fabric is very soft to touch, very easy to care for, and stretches to an extent; it is very much popular to sew jackets, shirts, hats. The polyester blend adds to the durability smoothness and finish of denim.
