Arsenal have gone 5 games unbeaten (in all competitions), including 4 wins, they will be facing Crystal Palace on Monday 18th October, with the hopes of securing another major win. The North London club does not have the greatest of records against Crystal Palace at the Emirates, as they have only clinched one win in their last four home games against them. Can Arsenal turnaround their home record against the Eagles?

One thing that needs to be established, is the type of approach Crystal Palace former manager, Roy Hodgson adopted during his time at the club, it was a pragmatic approach and it nullified most of their games against Arsenal, However under Patrick Vieira, their 'risk and reward' approach, may play into the hand of the Gunners.

The game is a must win for Arsenal, because if they succeed and they also go ahead to win Aston Villa, then they will slide into the top 4 position, for the first time in over one year. The game against Crystal Palace will be the first Arsenal game to see both the Gunners and their opponents, being managed by former Arsenal players (Mikel Arteta and Patrick Vieira) since 24th January 1995, in a 1-1 draw at Highbury against Southampton (managed by Alan Ball) under George Graham.
