How to increase breast milk supply for your baby

Every woman's dream is to give birth and provide the best for her children. Even beyond the first few weeks, new mothers are often concerned about producing enough breast milk for their kids. When you feel or notice that you are no longer producing enough milk for your baby, there are a few simple things you can take to boost your breast milk supply, but first make sure you are happy and healthy.

Stay Hydrated

Breast milk is about 85% water, so you should drink plenty of water every day, at least 8 to 12 glasses. You should also drink other healthy liquids like milk, porridge, and tea. The liquids should suffice to keep you hydrated. If you have a headache, are thirsty, or are dizzy, you should drink plenty of water.

Eat well

While nursing, it's a good idea to attempt to eat well because breast milk production and breastfeeding both require a lot of energy. To maintain a regular milk supply, eat a well-balanced diet rich in fruits and vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy snacks.

Keep off Stress

Because of the detrimental consequence of being weary and anxious, your milk supply may be low. Always attempt to get a nap when the baby is sleeping and avoid overworking yourself. If you need assistance, don't be afraid to ask for it. When you are relaxed and stress-free, your body can retain enough energy to assist in the production of good milk.

Always Nurse Frequently

Nursing often, particularly in the first few weeks, might help your body automatically switch to milk-producing mode. When you nurse your kid on a regular basis, your body produces more milk. Breast milk supply will decrease if you skip breast feeding or introduce babay formula to your infant.

Avoid Birth Control Pill

Starting a birth control pill within the first six weeks after delivery can make processing breast milk more challenging, especially if the tablet contains estrogen.
